Dental School , Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services , Rafsanjan , Iran . </strong></p><p> <strong> Background: </strong><strong>The aim of this study was to determine the prevalance of Caries Free in 12 and 15 year-old students of Rafsanjan city in 1998 . </strong></p><p> <strong> Material and Methods: </strong><strong>380 students {266 students were 12 year-old (138 boys and 128 grils) and 114 students were 15 year-old ( 56 boys and 58 grils ) } were selected by stratified cluster sampling. </strong></p><p> <strong> Students were examined by using sickle explorers and dental mirrors with the method of WHO index. . </strong></p><p> <strong> Results : </strong><strong>Results show that the prevalance of caries free in 12 year-old students was 38.2 percent (41.3 percent boys and 35.1 percent grils ) and in 15 year-old students was 20.6 percent (17.8 percent boys and 22.4 percent grils ). </strong></p><p> <strong> These percents of caries free are below the aims of WHO in the year 2000 and must be corrected. </strong></p><p> <strong> Conclusion: </strong><strong>On the basis of the aims of WHO in the year 2000 , this percent of caries free is low and must be incresed . </strong></p><p> <strong> </strong></p><p>  <strong>Key Words : </strong><strong>Caries Free, Tooth Caries, Rafsanjan, Student </strong><strong></strong></p><p> <strong> </strong></p> Caries Free, Tooth Caries, Rafsanjan, Student 59 63 http://journal.rums.ac.ir/browse.php?a_code=A-10-20-1&slc_lang=fa&sid=1 M.
