In terms of knowledge, them and self-care, 27.7% of participants had low knowledge, 74.5% with low practice and 69.8% of them had low self-care. Between knowledge and practice and education existed significant relationship, so that with increase of education level, knowledge and practice increas more (p=0.01).

Conclusion: The results showed low levels of practice and self-care, hence, it is necessary to train more self-care programs and identify the obstacles that impede behavioral change and more self-care in patients.
