زمینه و هدف: ظرفیت تأملی یکی از مهارت‌های مهم والدینی است. هدف از انجام پژوهش حاضر تعیین نقش تعدیل‌کنندگی ظرفیت تأملی پدر در ارتباط بین ظرفیت تأملی مادر با مهارت‌های اجتماعی و تنظیم هیجان کودک بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: در مطالعه توصیفی حاضر، از بین والدین کودکان 3 تا 10 ساله شهر تهران در سال 1401، 200 والد به صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند. برای جمع‌آوری داده‌ها از پرسش‌نامه‌های ظرفیت تأملی والدینی، مهارت‌های اجتماعی و تنظیم هیجان کودک استفاده شد. داده‌ها با آزمون همبستگی Pearson و رگرسیون سلسله مراتبی تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: بر اساس نتایج، پیش‌ذهنی‌سازی مادر با تنظیم هیجانی (141/0-=r) و مهارت‌های اجتماعی کودک (214/0-=r) همبستگی منفی و کنجکاوی مادر در حالات ذهنی با تنظیم هیجانی )191/0=r) و مهارت‌های اجتماعی کودک (158/0=r) همبستگی مثبت داشت (05/0>P). کنجکاوی پدر در حالات ذهنی با تنظیم هیجان (001/0>P، 251/0=r) و مهارت‌های اجتماعی کودک (05/0>P، 161/0=r) همبستگی مثبت داشت. پیش‌ذهنی‌سازی پدر رابطه بین پیش‌ذهنی‌سازی مادر و مهارت‌های اجتماعی کودک (01/0>P، 912/0=β)، هم‌چنین رابطه بین قطعیت مادر در تشخیص حالات ذهنی و مهارت‌های اجتماعی (716/0=β) و تنظیم هیجانی کودک (741/0=β) را تعدیل می‌کند (05/0>P). هم‌چنین، کنجکاوی پدر در مورد حالات ذهنی در رابطه بین کنجکاوی مادر در مورد حالات ذهنی با مهارت‌های اجتماعی (01/0>P، 724/0=β) و تنظیم هیجانی کودک (05/0>P، 172/0=β) دارای نقش تعدیل‌کننده است.
نتیجه‌گیری: به نظر می‌رسد ظرفیت تأملی پدر در ارتباط بین ظرفیت تأملی مادر با مهارت‌های اجتماعی و تنظیم هیجانی کودک، نقش تعدیل‌کننده دارد. نتایج این مطالعه می‌تواند منجر به کاربرد این مؤلفه در آموزش خانواده، پیش‌گیری و درمان شود.
