زمینه و هدف: مهارت‌های زندگی و حمایت اجتماعی از عوامل مؤثر بر پیش‌گیری اقدام به خودکشی می‌باشند. مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین افکار خودکشی و همبستگی آن با مهارت‌های زندگی و حمایت اجتماعی درک شده در دانشجویان دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان انجام گردید.
مواد و روش‌ها: مطالعه توصیفی حاضر در سال تحصیلی 1403-1404 در میان 206 دانشجوی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان به روش نمونه‌گیری طبقه‌ای انجام شد. ابزار جمع‌آوری داده‌ها، پرسش‌نامه استاندارد افکار خودکشی Beck، مهارت زندگی Saatchi و همکاران و حمایت اجتماعی درک شده Zimet و همکاران و جمع‌آوری داده‌ها به‌صورت حضوری بود. تحلیل داده‌ها با آمار توصیفی و آزمون‌های آماری همبستگی Spearman، Mann-Whitney و Kruskal-Wallis انجام گردید.
یافته‌ها: میانگین و انحراف معیار نمره افکار خودکشی دانشجویان 85/4 ± 58/2، مهارت‌های زندگی 95/19 ± 98/124 و حمایت اجتماعی درک شده 20/14 ± 22/60 نمره بود. آزمون آماری همبستگی Spearman بین نمره افکار خودکشی با مهارت‌های زندگی (259/0-=rs، 001/0>P) و با حمایت اجتماعی درک شده (262/0-=rs، 001/0>P) همبستگی معکوس و معنی‌داری را نشان داد. هم‌چنین، بین میانگین رتبه افکار خودکشی با جنسیت (035/0=P)، شغل مادر (044/0=P) و تحصیلات مادر (004/0=P) ارتباط معنی‌داری مشاهده شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: حدود یک ششم دانشجویان دارای افکار خودکشی با خطر بالا و بسیار پرخطر بودند. نظر به همبستگی افکار خودکشی با مهارت‌های زندگی و حمایت اجتماعی درک شده، اجرای برنامه‌های آموزشی و دوره‌های توانمندسازی دانشجویان توصیه می‌گردد.
