زمینه و هدف: استفاده افراطی از سبک‌های دفاعی، سبک‌های توجه و راهبردهای مقابله با درد می‌تواند در بروز اختلالات روان‌تنی مانند مشکلات گوارشی نقش داشته باشد. از میان آن‌ها، سندرم روده تحریک‌پذیر یکی از شایع‌ترین اختلالات محسوب می‌شود. این پژوهش با هدف تعیین رابطه سبک‌های دفاعی، سبک‌های توجه و راهبردهای مقابله با درد با حساسیت احشایی در بیماران مبتلا به این سندرم انجام شده است.
مواد و روش‌ها: روش پژوهش توصیفی و از نوع همبستگی بود. تعداد ۱۹۳ بیمار مبتلا به سندرم روده تحریک‌پذیر در اصفهان به‌صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند. داده‌ها با پرسش‌نامه راهبردهای مقابله با درد Rosenstiel و Keefe (1983)، پرسش‌نامه سبک‌های دفاعی Andrews و همکاران (1993)، پرسش‌نامه سبک‌های توجه Van Calster و همکاران (2018)، پرسش‌نامه حساسیت احشایی Labus و همکاران (2004) جمع‌آوری و با رگرسیون خطی چندگانه به شیوه گام به گام تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد بین سبک‌های دفاعی رشد نایافته (114/0-=b، 001/0=P) و سبک دفاعی رشدیافته (343/0=b، 001/0>P)، سبک‌های توجه مؤلفه‌های سبک تمرکز (488/0-=b، 013/0=P) و سبک حواس‌پرتی/ اجتناب شناختی (994/0=b، 001/0>P)، راهبردهای مقابله‌ای درد و زیرمقیاس‌های آن نادیده انگاشتن درد (550/0=b، 001/0=P) و راهبرد مقابله با درد گفتگو با خود
(502/0-=b، 005/0=P) با حساسیت احشایی در افراد مبتلا به سندرم روده تحریک‌پذیر رابطه معنی‌داری وجود دارد که در کنار هم 7/28 درصد تغییرات حساسیت احشایی را تبیین می‌کنند.
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج نشان داد سبک‌های دفاعی، سبک‌های توجه و راهبرد مقابله با درد پیش‌بینی کننده حساسیت احشایی هستند و لذا توصیه می‌گردد مشاورین و درمان‌گران به متغیرهای روان‌شناختی توجه نمایند.
