زمینه و هدف: رضایت از تصویر بدنی از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر سلامت روان دانشجویان است که می‌تواند تحت تأثیر عواملی همچون حساسیت به طرد و نشخوار فکری قرار گیرد. بر این اساس، هدف پژوهش حاضر تعیین نقش میانجی نشخوار فکری در رابطه حساسیت به طرد و رضایت از تصویر بدنی دانشجویان بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: مطالعه حاضر از نوع توصیفی بود. جامعه مورد مطالعه شامل تمامی 12000 دانشجوی دانشگاه محقق اردبیلی در سال تحصیلی 1402-1403 بود که از این جامعه 245 دانشجو با استفاده از نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. به منظور جمع‌آوری داده‌ها از پرسش‌نامه حساسیت بین فردی Boyce و Parker، مقیاس رضایت از تصویر تن Souto و Garcia و پرسش‌نامه نشخوار فکری Nolen-Hoeksema و Morrow استفاده شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون همبستگی Pearson و مدل‌سازی معادلات ساختاری تجزیه و تحلیل شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد مدل به‌دست آمده از برازش مطلوب برخوردار است. نتایج نشان داد که حساسیت به طرد اثر مستقیم، مثبت و معناداری بر نشخوار فکری (87/0=β، 001/0>P) و اثر مستقیم، منفی و معناداری بر رضایت از تصویر بدنی (49/0-=β، 001/0>P) دارد. نتایج هم‌چنین نشان داد حساسیت به طرد با میانجی‌گری نشخوار فکری اثر غیر مستقیم، منفی و معناداری بر رضایت از تصویر بدنی (30/0-=β، 001/0>P) دارد.
نتیجه‌گیری: مطالعه حاضر نشان داد طرد در روابط میان‌فردی می‌تواند با افزایش نشخوار فکری، نارضایتی از تصویر بدنی را افزایش دهد. بنابراین، توصیه می‌شود مشاوران با استفاده از برنامه‌های آموزشی مناسب به کاهش نشخوار فکری دانشجویان کمک کنند.
