The present letter to editor, was conducted with the aim of determining Iran's hallmark of scientific in the field of medicine in the years 1996 to 2016 in the world and the Middle East in the following six dimensions: the number of documents, the number of citable documents, the number of citations, the number of self-citations, the average of citations per document and H index. The assessment scientific grade of medical products in Iran showed that Iran, not only on a global scale, but also in the Middle East does not have the necessary scientific authority in this area.
