زمینه و هدف: سلامت روانی-جسمی نوجوانان در معرض تهدید عواملی نوظهور همچون اعتیاد به بازی اینترنتی است و شناسایی عوامل مرتبط با این اختلال می‌تواند پنجره‌ای امیدبخش برای کمک به نسل دیجیتال بگشاید. هدف مطالعه حاضر، مقایسه استرس ادراک‌شده و کیفیت خواب در دانش‌آموزان مبتلا و غیر مبتلا به اختلال اعتیاد به بازی‌های اینترنتی شهر اهواز بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: پژوهش توصیفی حاضر در سال 1403 بر 200 نفر از دانش‌آموزان انجام شد. اعضای نمونه به شیوه تصادفی خوشه‌ای چندمرحله‌ای انتخاب شدند. ابزارهای پژوهش شامل فرم اطلاعات جمعیت‌شناختی و پرسش‌نامه اختلال بازی اینترنتی Putz، مقیاس فشار‌ روانی ادراک ‌شده Cohen و پرسش‌نامه کیفیت خواب Pittsburgh بود. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از تحلیل واریانس چندمتغیره انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد در متغیر استرس ادراک‌شده و اختلال خواب به‌ترتیب دانش‌آموزان مبتلا به اعتیاد به بازی اینترنتی دارای میانگین و انحراف معیار 11‏/6 ± 46‏/39 و 13‏/2 ± 82‏/21 و دانش‌آموزان غیر مبتلا به‌ترتیب ‏29/82 5/21±  و 35‏/30±3‏/14 بودند و بین دانش‌آموزان مبتلا به اعتیاد به بازی‌های اینترنتی با دانش‌آموزان غیر مبتلا در متغیر استرس ادراک‌شده (31‏/28=F، 001‏/0>P، اندازه اثر=84/0) و متغیر کیفیت خواب (59‏/31=F، 001‏/0>P، اندازه اثر=84/0) تفاوت معنی‌دار مشاهده شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: مطالعه حاضر نشان داد که استرس ادراک‌شده و اختلالات خواب به صورت معنی‌داری در دانش‌آموزان دارای اعتیاد به بازی اینترنتی بیشتر از افراد غیر مبتلا است. به‌کارگیری این یافته‌ها در برنامه‌های پیشگیرانه و مداخلات مناسب و زودهنگام برای ارتقاء نظام سلامت آموزشی ضروری به‌نظر می‌رسد.
